Why I Love Thayers Witch Hazel

Thayers has ben around since 1847, & in 1989 Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera as born. I’m sure Doctor #Thayer would be proud to still see his brand on store shelves today 🙂 I started using witch hazel about 2 years ago & I absolutely love how it makes my skin feel. It really helps remove the hard water from your skin & all the leftover makeup.  I was running low on my lemon toner so I purchased a new bottle of the original astringent. What I love about these toners is that they all contain Aloe Vera which is extremely beneficial for the skin

How I use Thayers:

After cleansing my face I put Thayers on a cotton round & go over my face, neck & décolleté. This removes the dirt, oil, & makeup that my cleanser didn’t remove. This toner does not leave my skin feeling tight & stripped. My skin feels moisturized & clean.
FullSizeRender-89 I always use the toners that contain SD Alcohol 40-B, however they also have alcohol free toners.

Please note that SD-40 alcohol is not the same as the much harsher ethyl or isopropyl alcohol (both forms of rubbing alcohol) It’s high-grade purified grain alcohol, & not synthetically produced.

It takes practice guys

I love cake pops & I love baking so I have decided to learn how to make these little balls of joy. Below are pictures from my first attempt lol (I know it’s terrible & sad)

Rule #1 Never use this plastic bottle dispenser it SUCKS

I will master the cake pop, eventually. But for now I’m making mini corn dogs.

Music Is My Life

I love my drive home from work because I’m alone in my car & I get to vibe out to MY music.

The music I listen to when my daughter is in the car is mostly ABC songs lol.

Fun Fact : My 1st concert was when I was 9. I saw The Cranberries & it was incredible.

I love food

Breakfast:

Green smoothie that I call “Green Energy” I add frozen peaches, whey protien, unsweetened almond milk, handful of spinach, Maca honey, flax seeds, & bee pollen.

Lunch:

Mixed green chicken salad with apple slices & walnuts inside 😋 Soooo yummy!

Dinner :

Beans with Chicken drumsticks. Drumsticks were seasoned with salt & pepper. I also added onion slices, fresh garlic & brussel sprouts.

I’m obsessed with the Tazo Iced Passion herbal tea. I have been off diet coke for about a month now & I’m happy to say that I no longer crave soda. 😌 I’ve officially said goodbye to all carbonated drinks because they make me feel bloated & yucky.

Everyday Coconut From Whole Foods

I’ve always been very careful about what goes on my daughter’s skin. I try researching all the ingredients in all the products she uses. It’s really scary how many chemicals you can find in baby products!  Below I’ve listed all the ingredients in this bubble bath, it’s much better/safer than most baby products out there.

Ingredients in Everyday Coconut Bubble Bath:

Yarrow Extract– The essential oil of Yarrow holds the secret to smoother and younger skin with a balanced amount of moisture in it.

Decyl polyglucose-An effective gentle cleaner that is extremely mild compared to others surfactants

Lauryl glucoside– is derived from Coconut and has an excellent and stable foam

Coconut water – clear liquid inside young green coconuts

Coconut Oil– edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of matured coconuts

Coconut extract – below are only some of the many benefits

• Helps to prevent infections when applied topically to the skin.• Helps to reduce symptoms of psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis.

Chamomile Extract– has been used since Ancient times for their calming and anti-inflammatory properties

Phenoxyethanol– common cosmetic preservative that is considered one of the least irritating to use in formulations. It does not release formaldehyde

The reason for this post is because I wanted to share my newest find which is called Everyday Coconut Bubble Bath. I love the ingredients & I love how soft my baby’s skin is after bath time. It’s pricey ($10.99 – 32 oz. bottle) but I don’t mind paying a little extra for something that’s much safer & natural for my little girl.

I highly recommend this for all you mommies out there! Or if you know any mommies you can get this for them & I’m almost positive they would love it.

There is just so many chemicals in everything these days, it gets tough. (sigh)

Made with Certified Fair-Trade coconut oil.  Fair trade is an organized social movement whose stated goal is to help producers in developing countries achieve better trading conditions and to promote sustainability. Members of the movement advocate the payment of higher prices to exporters, as well as higher social and environmental standards.

Below is an interesting link about the awful chemicals in the oh so famous Johnson & Johnson

Roller Lash

So I tried it & I was not happy with it, I returned it to Macy’s yesterday.

Pros : The tube is pretty

Cons:

Does not make lashes thicker

Is not black enough for me,  it’s more of a dark brown & I like my eyelashes jet black

Does not lengthen

  • Long lasting

A brightener in a luxurious metal case with a practical applicator brush. It is long lasting and conceals small imperfections perfectly. The mimetic pigments do not build up in lines no matter what facial movements your face makes. It protects, treats and regenerates thanks to its lifting complex.

Have fun! Show your child that reading is enjoyable

I try to read at least 20 books a month to Gianna, some books we read over and over again 🙂 We love going to the library to play & read different books! I’ve been reading to her since she was in the womb.
