Silicone Free Haircare

I’ve noticed that when I use products that have silicones my curls go away. I’ve been trying to use products that don’t have silicones (it seems like every hair product has them). What works for one person may not work for you, but these  ingredients cause the same amount of damage to all hair types. A product with a lot of silicones that will coat your hair & you will need a clarifying shampoo to remove the build-up.

At Home Hair Glazing

Yea that’s Iggy lol

I would bleach my hair so much in the past (therefore its very porous) the darker color I have now tends to fade & get reddish tones after 4 or 5 shampoos.  That is why I use Redken Shades EQ to refresh the color & keep it from turning red. It’s  very easy to work with & it glazes your hair to create shiny healthy strands. I highly recommend this brand if your looking to add some spice to your hair. IMG_2635

I also use Agave healing oil & Matrix “Break Fix” after washing & conditioning my hair. The Agave is a lightweight oil that smells great & it contains coconut extract.

Btw I use a cotton t-shirt to dry my hair. Rubbing your hair with a towel while wet can break the hair shafts and lead to damaged strands.

Flat Irons

So I recently purchased a new flat iron because I gave away my GHD flat iron to my sister in law. I got this new one at Cosmoprof & I am so pleased with it. Much better than the GHD & CHI ( I had a CHI flat iron before the GHD) This Paul Mitchell flat iron leaves my hair so much shinier & smoother. I’ve never tried Titanium anything on my hair but it seems like my hair loves it !
I always let my hair air dry & I use Tresemme heat tamer spray on my locks. The mini Babybliss flat iron is for my baby hairs & touch ups. I highly recommened these amazing flat irons they get the job done!! You know what I mean 😁           p

I Love All Things Coconut

IMG_0768Another Walgreen’s beauty buy. My first time using RenPure shampoo & I must say it was lovely. I really liked how creamy it was & it made my hair smell yummy. I didn’t use the matching conditioner because I have a ton of other conditioners at home already. Do you like switching up your shampoos ???

NOT VIRGIN!

Love the ingredients in this product, it does hydrate the hair & makes it seem a lot more smoother.

I think it’s a great mask before cleansing the hair but not as a leave in or styling product. I usually massage into my scalp & then I add it to the rest of my hair while I do housework.

I do not like it as a leave in conditioner because it smells like $#%& way too strong & unpleasant. Y’all know I don’t like gross smelling anything. I also don’t like the texture of my hair when I use it as a leave in conditioner, it feels sticky/ greasy (YUCK) Yes I tried using less product still got the same greasy feel.

Nope,  I won’t purchase this again. Sorry Lush, at least I  LOVE your bath bombs 😉

Do you want thick, shiny, long hair ?

I have found a treatment that claims to do just that!

So easy & effective you gotta try it!

Why Coconut oil?

Unlike other oils that just sit on the hair, coconut oil is ideal for penetrating the hair shaft, getting past the cuticle, repairing and preventing damage from the inside out.

HOW?

All you have to do is massage the oil into your scalp & down to the ends, making sure the hair is completely saturated.

Put hair in a bun & leave in overnight

( if you can’t sleep with the oil overnight try leaving it on for at least 45 minutes)

THAT’S IT !!!! SUPER EASY RIGHT?!

Tips:

I always pre-melt the coconut oil before applying it to my damp hair

I always shampoo twice to make sure all the oil is out

If you have any questions please let me know
