Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married …..#ilovethatsong
Okay so this is your big day ! The day you’ve been waiting for since you were a little girl
This is what I tell all my brides when they ask me how they should prepare their skin for the BIG day 🙂
6 months before your big day :
Moisturizer, sunblock, and 2 liters of water a day
Exfoliate and moisturize your entire body so your skin is camera ready
Start eating clean because you are what you eat
Be skin smart by starting a religious skincare routine and having a monthly facial until your wedding day
If you have any acne, get in touch with your dermatologist to consider possible treatment options
If you have mature or tired skin, try Microdermabrasion or a Jessner peel to help get your skin looking radiant & healthy
3 months before the wedding:
Keep doing above steps
Splurge on that eye cream girl.
Get a massage
Start dry brushing your entire body
1 Month Before Your Wedding
Resist the urge to start anything new when it comes to skin products
Cleanse, Hydrate, Moisturize, & Protect
You’re not going to see results from an anti-aging cream or cleansing routine in a month’s time anyway, so your best bet is sticking to what you know your skin can tolerate.
Don’t even try a new makeup remover or face wash, now is not the time to experiment.
Get a massage
Get a body scrub
Dry brush your body
Avoid alcohol as its very dehydrating & can undermine all the preparation you have done
Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night
One week before
Have your last facial at least one week before your wedding day
Make sure it is the same facial that you’ve had before, to avoid any nasty skin reactions
Cleanse, hydrate, & protect your skin
Get another body scrub
Sleep
I love Wendy, she’s witty, smart, personable, & hardworking. I love watching her show when I can. Wendy is married, has a son, & a great career.
BUT Marriage & Children do not stunt your career Wendy. She is right to an extent, but there are exceptions, and no one broad stroke is right for everyone! I believe balance is a technique that can be learned thru experience & where can successfully find everything. In my particular situation my husband & I work together and we have found our balance.
I believe each woman is different & everything is not for everybody. And when you have a good man he encourages you to follow your dreams & goals. And when you have a good woman she will encourage you to follow your dreams & goals.
It’s really sad when women judge women I mean why can’t we support & encourage each other? A stay at home mother is not better than a mother who has a career & vice versa.
In My Opinion
It’s okay for women to work & have their family, mom, trusted babysitter to help them out. If a woman says she doesn’t need help with raising her baby she is a liar. Everyone needs help with their baby it is tough & my heart goes out to all the single mothers out there who don’t have the luxury of having family/friends/babysitters to help them.
When you meet a wonderful person and marriage is the next step, you have to be clear about the finances, religious practices, child rearing concepts, and YOUR future individual goals
What is right for one person is not right for another person. We don’t have the same DNA, we are all human yet we are all different.
Women are individuals, starting a family after 30 is a personal choice
There is no way you can judge a stay at home mother
There is no way you can judge a mother who also wants to have her own career
Judging people doesn’t define who they are, It defines who you are
